Rumour Monger,I can tell you what Neddies HAVE been spending money on,it's the new clubrooms
$600k has been raised so far,all donations are tax deductible through tha ASF.So come on Rumour monger donate a few bob,we know you want to
building almost complete
So, the wealthiest club in Perth wants the rugby public to donate money to feather its nest.
Mmmm... need to think about that. The logic escapes me.
Why don't you ask Rex - if he cut back on his booze bill he could make a reasonable size donation.
Speaking of Neddies clubrooms - rumour has it that when the club stalwarts who are doing all the physical work on the new clubrooms (and good on them) asked the player group to commit some hours of labour they refused unless they were getting paid! And Hansie keeps rabbiting on about club spirit - if you buy in mercenaries, thats the sort of response you get.

RM - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! you have taken the Yawn of the Day for the most repetitive rant over a topic that no one cares about. So some clubs offer inducements for players. Whether Neddies does or not OR whether Hansie admits it or not...... WHO CARES. Get over it and stop whinging. PLEASE!!

i think what RM is getting at is hansie won't admit they pay , help out there players thats all an every club is doing it why can't he come forward an say yes we "help" our players with finance and jobs houses etc .. an too stop hiding behind the old line off we produce our own players!! unless they are based at a club in the far north off new zealand he's just lip service too bulshit
yeah the only labour was done by the same hard core guys each week the ones that lobbied for the funding an all the raffles and prizes , an the current first graders weren't keen on turning up on a sat morn for 6 hours slog ... every club would be the same its just the youth off today take take give nothing .. one club player thing off the past
DD - if you had just an ounce of empathy for the local competition you would know that the two issues that continue to simmer away under clubland are:
1) Player poaching and the disparity between what the various clubs spend on recruitment / retention; and
2) EWF player distribution amongst the clubs.
At last glance this thread had well over 9,000 hits and 182 replies including a number from you so you are either:
1) blissfully ignorant of whats happening in the clubs and whats important to them;
2) a closet Nedlands supporter.
3) a wanker; or
4) all of the above.
Every one of my comments have been validated. The comment by thatguy above is just one of many examples.
If anyones whinging its you. Look behind you, Force Guy's following you around with his tongue hanging out!

Nedlands recruitment is starting to pale into insignificance when it comes to the latest round of poaching efforts.
UWA's systematic trawling of the State's best 16 and 17 year old players in the hope of building a Super Under 18 team is having major repercussions for the competition structure for the foreseeable future. So thorough have Uni been in targetting Under 18 playing stocks with all sorts of cash and material offers that clubs such as Nedlands and Associates have conceded they will not be able to field Under 18 sides in 2012 and most likely for the next few years.
They have purchased the souls of teenage boys from Joondalup, Wanneroo, Associates, Nedlands and Southern Lions as far as I know.
Rugby WA are powerless to stop it despite the level of anti UWA sentiment simmering out there in clubland.
Apparently, they have even secured the defection of Wanneroos star player, despite his parents being on the Wanneroo committee - that is some achievement.
In addition, they have picked the eyes out of the 2011 PSA ranks and have recruited a big chunk of last years state schoolboy side.
It would appear that club disloyalty starts young these days.
Quote from one of the lads - " Uni offered me a package I couldn't refuse".
How do they gain access to all these state representatives?
