I'm pretty sure my seat is in......and the catering facilities (both ingestive and ex-gestive) can be the same as last year for a whole season if needs be.

The crux of the matter will be pedestrian access to the various areas of the site, Occ Health and Safety will block of a lot of access which might run foul of fire safety standards.

I think it'll be useable, but some negotiations are in order.

If it comes to it, they should be able to operate the new stand without the ancillary facilities (food/loos/etc.) if need be.
They may struggle to get an occupancy permit without those facilities though??

Which in many ways is a shame. We get plastic beer in plastic cups because that is what we accept. Given how much revenue beer sales generate (for the stadium, not the Force), I wonder what would happen if everyone boycotted them until they got some proper beer and looked at using plastic bottles like other places...

I think the liquor licensing rules probably dictate the strength of the alcohol they are allowed to serve. And the number of drinks you're allowed to buy in one go. Seems to be the same at all sports venues in Perth.

Fair point, but all other states seem to be able to serve full strength liquor and some even in the can they come in. Perth is just a lost little city.

They currently play soccer, can't see any issue there.

We have a suite at Perth Arena and even then we have to put your bottled (full strength) beer into a plastic cup when we actually sit in the seats to watch the band or basketball.

And if go there in normal seating I belive you can buy four beers per eprson prior to the event starting and only two pp thereafter. So duringh the event more people have to go and line up (miss the show) to get the drinks.

Also I have been told the roof (yes the quick opening roof that added so much to the cost) can only be opened with prior State Planning Approval, which can take months. So theer is no way, on a balmy summesr evening they can say "hey, what a great night, lets open the roof, it will only take 7 minutes"

I think you will find those that do can onlyu do so during daytime events, not at night.

While the limit of the amount of drinks a person can purchase still applies, they sell full stregth alcohol in the members enclosure at the WACA.

I also noticed that they are selling full strength Budweiser at Perth Arena. Haven't tried it so won't comment on the beverage

Thats just a reflection on the different liquor licencing laws between states. Shame the price between states doesn't change much but the quality does!

Heard a joke about Bud many many years ago (I think it might have even been in a Monty Python sketch?)

Q:Why is Budweiser like having sex in a canoe??
    A:Because it's f*^&ing close to water!

Drove past this morning and all of the fencing is still up at the Lord Street end of the ground, I iwould suggest that the catering outlets would be on the Peir Street side of the ground as well as entry exit until the facilities behind the new additions have been completed.
