I still don't understand why if it gets voted in, we never get an opportunity to vote on it again, yet if it gets voted out, we have to do it all again? If they are so determined to bring in DLS, why not just grow a set and actually do it?!

Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.

I'm pretty sure I said that before. The Government does not require a referendum to bring it in. I agree with what you have said to an extent, if the Government is deperate for it then just bring it in. At worst it will cost you one election. People won't hold a political grudge for that long, voting for one party "becasue the other mob brought in DLS permantly" would be a pretty small minded reason.

In regards to your other point DLS seems farily popular within the younger percentage of the population, the popularity of DLS could potentially grow

like shopping hours and the GST. Both are acts of parliament and can be changed without a referendum or new election.

The age theory is a bit dodgy though as we have an aging population.

You still haven't explained why it's irrelevant.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

The official campaign has started, a fair and balance arguement should be presented

At the end of the day though it probably wouldn't matter as you would think most people have made their mind up which way they are going to vote

After three years you would hope they may have a mind to have made up...either way.
