Malan is a pain in the hole much like Stoneman with this innings.

Rub it if it hurts Jimmy
Well done Australia. Thoroughly deserved the win. England were atrocious.

Has it been won in Australia before December before?

Yes; the 2013/4 Ashes were won at the WACA on day 5 (Dec 17th), as the 3rd match in a 5-0 whitewash. Your memory going, Chibi?
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
2002/2003 Ashes were decided by the 3rd Test as well, in fact that series was decided in 12 days of play.
Good debate between Boycs and Punter about Cook and co. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0zHRSplFHk
I agree with Punter that Cook needs to go forward to hit the half volleys straight down the ground (not many batsmen do that these days) which will force the bowlers to bowl a different length. It was clear a few months ago that Cook was struggling to pick up the ball with his hand eye coordination on the wane. Dropped simple catches. I can understand what Boycs is saying but Cook plays his best Cricket when he has the pull and cut shot working.
We all saw what happened to Punter when he struggled to pick up the ball. The end was nigh when he fell over to a straight one from Jacques Kallis, the same bowler that the Aussie batsmen slapped around for fun.
