Based on the state of the WA economy, the fairly sizeable amount per share to most peoples budget, the number of current members, it is great to see that the 4000 mark has been passed.
This is an incredible sign of committment and even better is to see the people rallying behind the cause, from the celebs to us mere mortals that just love the game, and creating positivity around the Force, feels like 2006 all over again

I love the idea of the new Pacific Islander team for super rugby.....but does that increase the risk of them dropping the Force??

Not just nice but a minimum of $4mil assuming some people want multiple shares but have not registered again under a family members name.
This talk of cutting the Force or one of the other Aussie teams- is it likewise a given that one of the South African teams (the Kings?) will get the chop if Australia loses one? Or is the speculation only concerning Australia?

There's been speculation about cutting a South African team too.
It only works if SA drop a team too. Big political call for them .
Rugby looks set to maintain a national footprint, however dented, for at least the next decade, as the Australian Rugby Union backs away from plans to cut a Super Rugby team.
But the concession will come at a price, with the ARU set to demand greater input into key decisions made by each of the five franchises, from coaching appointments to marketing and sponsorship decisions and governance structures.
SANZAAR will wait until March to make a decision on the shape of Super Rugby from 2018, after the member unions – Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina – take a few months to digest the recommendations of consultants on the future of the competition.
At this stage, the option most likely is that it retain its 18-team format until the end of the current broadcast deal in 2020. There is a slim possibility the unions will agree to reduce to a 15-team competition, which would require South Africa to cut two teams and Australia one team.
