Just in: One week Ban.
So he will be available for Finals
80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?
Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!
Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
Must be an ARU plot to make sure he is fit for them
He wouldntve been my first pick for the next game anyway, he lacked punch, too much off ball distraction and lineouts were toilet. Brynard was a huge step up in carries and effective cleanouts and deserves his start and on through to the finals as well. Last year Alcock was better most games than Hodgo so thats a fair indication of the levels he should bring off the bench... Im optimistic that we will go over and give the brumbies a bashing... at the very least a huge scare!
I thought Mcminimum was odinary compared with what Angus Cottrell was offering from 6. Losing Cottrell was a big blow. That kid has the goods. McMinimum has missed a lot of rugby with injury and is rusty and short of a gallop. His performance was disappointing aside from the brain explosion. I was surprised he didn't get red on the day. A yellow card saved us from losing I believe. That was an element of luck.
Those two seemed to have some issues possibly extending back to McMinimum's time at the Reds. Ponces with blonde hair, $700 haircuts and whiny voices can be annoying. The fark head probably deserved the knees but you can't get away with blatant fouls anymore...........sadly.
Alcock was the best player on the ground in most games last year. I'd start him at 7, push Hodgson to 8 and McCalman to 6. The Rhino has massive impact off the bench.
Controversy corner
Like wahat you say Rex (I can't believe you're saying that) but this game is too important to take the risk that Chris might have a rusty return from injury. Put the Rhino in at 6 and tell him he's only getting 40 minutes, he needs to kill as many horses as he can before then. If he looks good at half time, give him another few minutes before putting Chris in to seal the game.
Chris will be reliable and 'ard as phuq regardless of how fit he is, but you wouldn't want him pushing it against fit opposition if he's only 85%
C'mon the
Really risky putting Chris straight in? Look what happened last week with rusty players! Maybe the Brums had a relaxing week at training - Fingers crossed
I think Stander has been great all season and it was a mistake by MF to play MMM over him after such a long layoff. I think it is a blessing in disguise
