In Drew's defence, performance wise the ranking goes Force, Tahs, Reds. In family closeness, it would be Reds, Tahs, Force. Maybe he decided to go for the medium?
Not that I agree with his decision to leave at all. But it's closer to his family that he was, and the second best rugby team performance wise. He told me on Friday that he's sorry he's upset me by leaving, so I guess its a little better...
Pruc, he didn't take the most generous offer, he took the Tahs. We had the best money-wise.

Damnit it sounds like I'm defending him completely! I'm not making excuses, it just looks like it![]()

If Western Australia hasn't moved to Bourke NSW in recent times you're still a good 3+ hours away... and that falls within the definition of not close to east coast family... We fly on the east coast to New Zealand in not a lot longer. Drew Mitchell can get on a plane from Sydney and fly to Brisbane an hour. Furthermore these planes leave the time or his family can get cheap sets to fly to Sydney to spend time with him... So stop talking nonsense, talk in real terms… Western Australia as beautiful as it is, is long long way away and players know this…
The Force offers excellent opportunities to hungry players eager to show their goods, especially in the past two years…
Every Player at the Force does more air miles than most S14 players to do their job… This travel additional time eats up personal time. Furthermore they’re isolated from their families and friends unless local boys… This should be openly acknowledged, otherwise its just silly WA denial… Your team is built from players from other eastern states they have personal needs…
So really I think people should just accept the Drew Mitchell chose a change... he gave the Force several good years and did his best... and now he's chosen the East coast...
I think the Western Force needs to sell its province as the land of rugby opportunity…not the land of immense cash… Example one Josh Valentine… It can happen with the right coaching outlook and positive player outcomes…

you can't believe everything you hear, But I'm sure Drew wouldn't be stupid enough to be giving out contract info to a random at Subi
as I said previously, the reasons for players leaving often are vastly different to their press release statements.
