have a look, even without the 9 tries scored against the Blues last week they would be 2nd for tries against(20). Which is still 2 times as many as the Reds.

anyway, im about to head off to this match, should be a good one to watch, hopefully the Reds can get a win, it would be nice to see them win 3 in a row at home, it wont be easy against a in-form chiefs side though.
Apparently 20'000 tickets have been sold already, so it should be a decent crowd at least.
I doubt the match committee or the squad would. Just not good enough on the night.
The Chiefs backrow are great at the physical stuff but where they really put teams to the sword is the way they hit the ball at pace. They have pretty OK skills too. All the boxes ticked I suppose.Originally Posted by Rex Messup

agreed.
the reds dont have it in them to come back.
sivivatu had a blinder in his, well 12 minutes.
his second attepmt at a try was nowhere near a knock on.
Belted
Great 7's rugby again though from the Reds. Fantastic to watch. Great spirit. They are a team on the rise for sure.
Pity they got belted and are competing for the wood again.

Well they say you learn more from a loss than a win.
Mooney's notebook should be full.
Shame that was my first Reds match for the year, but maybe it is the true situation.
Compared to the messages I had heard prior to today on certain players:
Ioane- About as expected which is improved but stilll dies with the ball
Houston- You kidding, he's a fat speed hump, totally out classed tonight
Lucas-Very average, bring back bad boy Genia
Higginbotham- Suitably impressed, go sign him up to come back home ASAP Mr Harris.
Daley & Weeks- Great to see some more Junior Props coming through the ranks finally. Performed well in the scrums. Perhaps a bit slow to breakdowns but was a very fast match.
Braid- The Difference between 50 and 70 points I would suggest.
McLinden- I am hoping he has been better than that, learn to catch
Cooper- Just can't seem to handle pressure, looked like 2007 all over again.
McKibbin-Pretty good, certainly better than Lucas tonight.
Connor- Sorry mate, back to the Gym for you...
Davies- Has potential and pretty slippery but perhaps a bit of time with Connor lugging heavy things too.
Berrick tried his guts out as always and the talls did their jobs.
Just basically outclassed by a far better combination on the night.
The respective ladder postions are probably a pretty accurate reflection of the two teams at this stage.
Fingers crossed the Reds play exactly the same next week.

On their current form, I defy any team in the comp getting within 20 of the Chiefs.
They are now white hot.
Pretty much agreed there tic, be interesting if they can maintain the run after the Bye.
I have a sore ear from watching it in the wet mess next to a VERY loud Waikato man, one of those voices used as ships fog horns that rattle your bones even when they are whispering...
