Even if Horwill and Pocock recovered from their injuries to make the tour, they might not have enough match fitness to start in the Tests against France, England, Italy and Wales, which means Sharpe would probably retain the captaincy.
If Sharpe tours he shouldn't 'probably' retain the captaincy, he should be the captain no matter who comes back.
He would be doing the team a favour and the least they can do for a player like him is let him do it from the front like the champion leader he is.

Maybe he could knock some sense into the younger 'twitter generation' of players...

Nathan Sharpe is considering extending his international career but has no plans to make a shock comeback at the Western Force in Super Rugby next season.
Oh well, we can always hope.
Foley would have him back of course

Well it's been confirmed on Fox Sports. Sharpie's last game will be in Cardiff against Wales! Great way to go out for a ledgend!

Heard Deans on the radio talking to Greg Alexander this afternoon. Asked if Horwill or Pocock would be a chance of touring. He replied yes to both but qualified by stating - without being asked - that neither would resume the captaincy on the tour if they play. Would be nice to think that Nathan didn't have to place that condition himself. IMO he's showed himself to be one of the great Wallaby captains who was dudded out of a greater record than he will end up with. The price of moving to Perth???

At a great stadium and in front of appreciative fans too, what a great way to go out.

It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

The price of Deans being in love with Brad Thorn and that type of player ! And paranoid that the ABs thought Sharpie was a softie and they would target him. Deans dealings with Sharpie were a disgrace and he shall never be forgiven for it

That would be a great Tour to go on and follow the Wallabies and barrack for Sharpie.
Come to think of it... Hope Brett Sheehan gets to go as well.
Gives the Force two of the world's great half backs with former All Black Alby Mathewson and current Wallaby Brett Sheehan.
