yes you will. It'll cost $15/month over and above what you pay Foxtel.

    From the Setanta site: ( http://au.setanta.com/portal/systemc...temtitle=ozfaq )

"I have heard rumours that Setanta will be available on the Foxtel platform? Is this true? And when?

Yes this is true. We will be officially launching on Foxtel on October 9th so Foxtel Satellite subscribers will be able to subscribe on or after this date. To subscribe you just need to contact 1300 SETANTA (738 268) on or after this date. Lines will be open as of 8am AET.

Please be aware there will be an extra subscription fee of $14.95 to Setanta on top of your Foxtel subscription - we are an Access Seeker which means we are on the Foxtel platform but we are not part of the Foxtel family itself thus - FOXTEL WILL BE UNABLE TO HELP YOU IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES

NOTE: If you are a Foxtel CABLE customer, you will not be able to subscribe just yet - we are reaching final agreements with Telstra regarding Cable Access and this has been a slower process than Satellite Access - we don't have any sort of timeframe yet, but hope to have it resolved ASAP so you should be able to subscribe soon. Obviously when we have reached an agreement, any news about it will be released instantly.

But for notification when you can subscribe, please contact us on the email address below and we will put you on a mailing list.

Thanks very much for your patience during this time.

If you have any further queries, please contact us on setantaoz@setanta.com

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT FOXTEL REGARDING THIS SERVICE AS THEY CANNOT PROVIDE YOU WITH FURTHER INFORMATION."

As long as there's no contract involved, I'd pay $15/mth for the months where there was something interesting to watch such as the 6N.

Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.

No. Setanta is not part of any Foxtel packages. It is a separate thing altogether. Setanta will do their own accounts, programming, etc. All they have to do with Foxtel is supplying Foxtel with content and Foxtel telling them which channel it is on. This will then be passed onto the customer.

Foxtel only provide a channel on which Setanta broadcast their content. Currently Setanta broadcast on the Optus B3 satellite (which they will continue to do separately of Foxtel, which is on the Optus C1 satellite). The B3 satellite appears to be "administered" or "run" by Globecast (when I had Setanta I was supplied with a Globecast labelled card for my receiver). All the Foxtel link is doing is changing Globecast to Foxtel. I never had any interaction with Globecast at all, only Setanta. It will be the same with Setanta/Foxtel.
