It was a good day last year, they did well with the AV equipment, loved the big screen! But beer for a prize is piss poor, the baysie 7's had more prize money than a fully sponsored event!
Genuine question, what is the ball park prize for such an event?

was $4000 last year I think?
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Yes, plus If I remember rightly, $1000 for runner up and $1000 for second division winner.
nah runners up didnt get any money and biggest club attendance got 1g ! best try celebration won a carton
Yes, JB, you are correct.
I've heard a whisper that the no prize money decision has been reconsidered.
Another victory for people power.
Don't know how much yet.
I sent a couple emails off questioning the prizes and pointing to your post....
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Dropped you in it, eh?![]()

I'm tipping it's just the depth that varies Coach![]()

This is not the same as last year. There is no travelling road show, no free shorts or anything like that. Rugby WA approached Tooheys and asked if they could provide sponsorship or prizes. I would say they have pumped some money into the event and if you think about the vakue of 12 cartons behind the bar at any rugby club you're looking at over a grand. Its probably a lot more than anyone else was willing to offer. There has been no exposure like last year, this is simply a turn up and play rugby and Tooheys have been kind enough to put something up to win.
