Has Cannon still got it? Experience is vital in big games but sometimes the young pretender is the one. I prefer McIsaac.
What do you former frontrowers think of the engagement at scrums now?
Having been a Flanker and half back I was never game to enter such privileged company1
coach its easy we learned very early in our training days to count on five fingers, now with this we get our wifes to point them at the key board. And hey presto words appear. Like catching a ball. ha. ha.
I think forward all have to be 'ard, enforcers. The Force needs some belter in them up front.
Welborn used to have a little bit of mongrel in him - not too sure which of the current forward pack have that extra edge....
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
it should be all of them
mabey they need to line up for a few slaps in the face before packing down
get em angry,
Bring back the Mongrel
My tip for "future anger" will be Bam-Bam, in the mould of Phil "Cro-Magnon-Man" Waugh.
Care of sports ears I did hear a very clear "Whatever it takes Gus" before one scrum, not sure if this suggests he was being soft or just a general gee-up though. Have noticed Angus get some pretty solid thumps of encouragement on the back during 2006, the type that if not on a Rugby field you would turn around and plant the bloke who dealt it!

Maybe WAFC & Subi Oval charge too much for repairs to dressing room walls so the forwards don't get as psyched up as us amateurs did in the good old days. There's nothing better than a few fist & head dents in changing room walls!!!
CHEERLEADERS ROCK!!!
Been there, slapped that Jedi...those were the good ol' days mate...As for the new scrum engagement, i feel it looks too structured now, with no real aggression in the contact, but this is only my opinion...Even so, our scrum still struggled on the weekend with the new rules so maybe there is room for this change...We definately need more mongrel in us, that is for sure, and i have always been Tais' greatest supporter, he is the future as far as i am concerned...
Proudly bought to you by a brewery somewhere....
Now, if only Tai could throw in straight!
CHEERLEADERS ROCK!!!
I'd been talking him up all game about how I had observed his throwing before Christmas at training etc and then he came on and threw those two
I think one was very dubious but the other a shocker. Wish I could get to a replay to watch it all unfold.....
I'm told he said to the Touchie or Ref (not sure which) "Thanks mate, you've just ended my Wallabies career" seeings as Knuckles was in the stand!
Another snippet is that Boof Hardy lost around 5kg of body weight during the match, could hardly accuse him of not trying!!!

I agree that 1 of the squint calls was dubious at best and downright biased at worst. The other one was a shocker, IMHO. Hope he becomes more consistent in this area as he is definitely the sort of player we need to lead the pack into the future.
CHEERLEADERS ROCK!!!
