I can remember under "meanie Mitchell" beating the Bulls in the last minute, Hurricanes, same,Chiefs and the Cheatahs,a length of the field effort when they had a shot at goal on the final hooter.Under the powder-puff,greenie,schoolteacher looking Mr nice-guy...opps sorry I can't go on,a little bit of sick has just come into my mouth.
Better than no EWF news at all and probably more credible than Growden and Harris and their unamed sauces
Don't forget there are others who have been told they did not get the job and once people start talking a leak becomes a flood. RWA have not actually announced anything officially.
An unreliable sauce tells me they are waiting for one of the selection panel members to return from overseas.
Very unreliable I would say.
Scott Staniforth in Bali would have made his recommendation as a selection panel member before leaving. That recommendation went before the board this week and that is why Cheika has been offered the gig
Lets hope the answer is yes and Cheika gets the gig. he will be a good choice.
As Burgs alluded to, the squad is very young and mostly unheralded. They will respond to a no nonsense, put in or p1ss off mentality. They are young, keen and hungry and expect to be driven. They are looking for direction, guidance and have aspirations.
There has been too many farking egos in this franchise and not enough mongrel and hard work........apologies to a few that have (they know who they are)
Bring in the mongrel. get the lads fit, 'ard and ready to rip into some rugby.
There is a nucleus of a good squad whether Pocock stays or goes. I'd like him to stay but there is always new players coming through and hungry.
It'd be nice to get some real quality at 10/12/13. The pack can hold their head high in the washup of 2012
A dismal season, but thank the good Lord for rugby in WA. We will turn up rain, hail, sleet, snow, blizzrd, loss, poor performance, scandal, controversy, whining, player revolts, coach exodus, hidings, internal dissension, factional dissenison, managereal incompetence, earthquake, flood, cyclone, pestilence, locus plague, famine, nuclear strike, foreign invasion...........
Carn the Force
The best thing about season 2012 is it is over.
2013.........lets get it on
Controversy corner
Agree with above.....
...if nuclear strike I may be a bit late for the game, and not sure what postcode my seat will be in
Meanwhile, the Western Force still has a coach vacancy sign as Michael Cheika is set to reject their offer. The Force wanted Cheika, but it is believed he has or is about to turn them down.It is understood this follows senior players issuing their displeasure that Force officials had failed in their promise to have a coach in place by the time of their last game. Cheika, who made his name as a No.8 at Randwick from 1985-1999, began his coaching career at Padova in 2001, had success at Randwick before joining Leinster in 2005 and transforming them into Heineken Cup champions. His most recent gig was with French club Stade Francais, which ended earlier this year.Speculation that besieged Waratahs coach Michael Foley will head west will again intensify. Foley has been linked to the Force job several times in recent weeks as speculation has swirled over whether he would be retained by NSW next season after the Tahs' terrible 2012 campaign.
