I don't understand why anyone would queue up for a phone (a PHONE, people!), a video game, a pub or a book. It just baffles me. There's plenty for everyone. There'll be plenty left when the frenzy is over. It's not like they're tickets to the rugby.
Some people obviously have lots of spare time.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal:
it is the courage to continue that counts.

BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
I see the phones have been unlocked by hackers already.![]()
thought they were selling the 8 and 16 GB models..
yeah so did I moses, but jono hit the nail on the head, i already have an ipod and like i stated my phone has all the features of the iphone, not to mention a 5 megapixal camera.

yeah, which takes videos.
most phones have expandable memories now anyway, so you can use them as a music player anyway.
i'll probably buy an iphone in a year or two after the phone i am getting craps out on me.
by that time i would say my ipod will have died or be on its last legs. and there will be sufficient upgrades to the current iphone to make it worth my while.
like, a video camera, and more memory for music/movies/photos.
but at the moment. there are better phones out there.
i do think being able to play virtual pool on your phone is pretty cool though.
i just read an interesting article that said the price of the iphone halved after only a few months on the market in the US
Nah mate, you're wrong there. the Techno nerd is definately the N95 user, I saw them and my geek gene twinged something fierce.
The apple strategy in every instance is to wrap their product in cool looking packaging and sell it as the latest cool device. Apple rarely sell ANYTHING cutting edge, simply because they want the product to be foolproof upon release. That helps them to sell it to teenagers and technophobes who want it because it's coll looking, not high performance.
NB the N95 is part of the standard package for Reuters Journalists, along with some accessories it's used for field reports etc........you won't see an iPhone on that list, that's what makes the N95 the nerd accessory.

Most people tend to think what they have is the best. Smartphone, iPhone, PPC phone, blackberry. I wouldn't spend the money on the iPhone or the N95. It's funny how we have an iPod or other music player, a camcorder, a digital camera, a laptop and we want a phone that has all those features too.My phone for the last few months is a Motorola Q9h.
I just want a phone that makes phone calls and works.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
