i would like to know the person that came up with the great sporting name FORCE
How do we get the force to become a force?
Get rid of Foley Prinsloo, Nestoe!
Replace with current assistant coaches plus a couple of local ex professional players whi are now coaching and who are ready to take next step.
NRC could be
Head coach - Luke Dogerty
Asst Coach - Junior Pelesasa/ Richard Brown
Academy - Dwayne Grace.
Luke Doherty to move into lineouts for the force!
Pelesasa and Brown to coach Force U /20's.
Future Force to be left as it is arm!!
This at least will give assistant coaches at the force currently to see what they can do plus giving a chance for ex players to take the force with experience! Crusaders format ring a bell!
Wouldn't be good to see ex force players coaching 'the force'!
ATM it is a shambles!
What is needed? Money! (And a plan).
How much depends on the definition of "a force" and the timeframe to achieve said goal.
Personally, I don't see us getting jack from the ARU so money will be a significant issue for the foreseeable future. We will need to become a "value for money" team - find players who are undervalued and then extract maximum return from them. This would require a radical revamp of all coaching positions.
What Invictus says and make them watch the Crusaders v Highlanders game!
That's running rugby!
May the FORCE be with you!
Yeah, "Sea of Yellow" sounds completely stupid. Seeing as we're in the sunny west, they'd probably have to call the place "The Cauldron" or "The Crucible" or something else that alludes to heat. If they changed the team name, the fans would be something else entirely. Unfortunately, the name for a group of swans is a "lamentation" and I think after a decade, we've done enough of that. I suppose if they kept the name, we'd be the "EnForcers" or whatever. Maybe we could fire off gold tinsel into the air and give the opposition a shower of some metallic kind?
