Singer: It was beautiful
Toulouse - The reggae singer the Springboks accused of butchering the anthem before the 20-13 Test match defeat to France told AFP Saturday that he thought he had "sung beautifully
This just shows you how f..d some idiots in South Africa are
Maybe this can serve as a lesson for anyone asked to perform a national anthem:
Sing it straight. Don't try to perform an "interpretation". Really, no-one has turned up just to listen to YOU sing or is there primarily for the musical entertainment. Don't make it some R'n'B or reggae or operatic or country/western version - you won't make the song any better.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal:
it is the courage to continue that counts.
- Winston Churchill
The signer is a South African.
The interesting thing is that he wasn't picked by the French, he was picked by the South African embassy.

"Bloody oath we did!"

this is typical how the New South Africa operates
The dude in the job was employed by his brother's wife's sister He doesn't really know the job but seeing that he was part of the struggle against apartheid he got the job in France
he suggested the idiot that sang because he know the idiot's sister.
but it's all an excuse why they lost!
They didn't need this guy to f#@k up the anthem....it was f#@ked up before he started. How can you have an anthem in 5 languages, but the country have 11 official languages.
Also did anyone noticed that the flag was upside down as well.....a country in distress
