Pieter:where was Soaks so called catchment area?
They have never ever represented a particular area--before relocating to Swanborne they shared the foreshore with Nedlands, using Steves hotel as their clubrooms
Similarly where is UWA's catchment area, the club represents an institution, not a district per se
So Wanneroo jumps on the band wagon

Love it .I also hear joondalup are going for an even more aggresive pitch in the suburbs appearing north of them. This will just about finish off whats left of north coast.neddies are going ahead with their new training facility in the Joondalup area for the seven junior players they have living in joondalup who are signed on with them accross all their juniors ranks. And good old wests who took a whole team from cotts last season will still be developing children from the seagulls area,if there were any areas and bullshitting how they believe in kids developement and more teams the better.
Add Wanneroo battling it out with perth only one winner there,we should soon end up with just one or two teams left in the junior comp.just how rugby wa like it i suppose.
Well done Wajru

Can't you pillocks get behind "We Belong".
Is it any wonder that rugby has so little backing. It's time you pull your heads out of your arses.
When I see you lot bickering over god knows what I seriously wonder if you deserve a super 15 team.
I will be a Force supporter and a rugby fan until I die and there is only one game! It's not called football it's rugby union.
Smote as much as you like! This whole site was set up about the Force! Not you!
Over and out!
May the FORCE be with you!
I think he's having a go at you, Gunny.
Yea Gigs Wanneroo did not ask for this to happen but unfortunately the saying "if you cant beat them join them" has come into play here. Wanneroo is definitely not going to sit still and lose the 80+ existing members and the possible 40 to 80 new members we could possible have in Ellenbrook.
This is just going to make Wanneroo bigger and stronger......
well said ex pat
Great venue in Ellenbrook with lots of potential

you still haven't told me where Soaks & Uni's catchment areas are supposed to be![]()
Let's aim at the growth of rugby first, so that there are too many kids for the clubs and infrastructure that is in place. Then we worry about who plays for who.
The in-fighting is only going to make rugby look as stupid as European soccer or African politics.
Get the mums involved, show them that if they want their boys to grow up to be men, then they should take them to rugby clubs as juniors.
Then we continue establish acceptable crowd, supporters and sideline parents behaviours, to set our sport above others.
Rugby wins again.

fairly easily it would appear,as these two clubs have been going a long time.
we are talking about a few kids, you are making much ado about nothing
I was at the Joondalup coaches meeting on Thursday. There was no mention of making any effort to promote our rego day anywhere north of Tamala park. Just a stall at Lakeside & Whitfords malls next weekend. Also we know the coaches at North Coast and they are of the view that almost all of their players are returning. As the city expands, North Coast will grow with it.
