    well deserved Kyle.
great to see one of our own being given his chance here, instead of having to head over east for opportunities.

They had to get this one or lose all credability, nonetheless, congratulations Kyle.

Re Harvey, unless he can learn to run a damn site quicker and convert his pop gun kick to a bazooka then he isn't up to standard, no matter how nice a bloke he reportedly is.

Re Harvey, he seems to be the fourth insurance policy in a role where we have usually needed one. You can't expect a guy who is bought with that in mind to be Dan carter I guess.

I'm happy enough to have him as long as he doesn't take the field in front of others without damn good reason

No, but I would expect him to outrun a Prop...

    Congrats Kyle.
Seymour doesn't have a contract last i heard. Still i think it is a dream for Harvey to get to play, whilst i don't think he is fast enough to play, and is a bit slow getting the ball away, he got to play super rugby, not too long before the end of his rugby playing age. Good on him, and stay on as 3rd/4th cover for a year.

Harvey can play 15 and is insurance at 10. He can reliably (usually) kick penalty goals. He is mature. Although there is limited space on Aus lineups, given the problems we have had with all these issues, I like him on the team.

As Godwin has obviously stepped up a notch in the past year and we now have Sias, Harvey will only play if we are facing a crisis, just as we were having this year when we signed him. Remember when Harvey was re-signed Sias was not even a rumour, and Godwin had not played U20s, not played at 10 against the 'Saders, and was not re-signed.

I would rather have a really nice and mature bloke, finally living his rugby dream and enjoying every moment as the emergency back up, than a surly no good destabilizing toss pot.

I would still rather 3 young fly halves with potential and 2 dads as insurance than a desperation replacement who will not get any better. Lets remember we're in the pro sport business where results matter more than feeling someone deserves a go because hes a better bloke than footballer. As Burgs said hes slow and a popgun kicker and his defence is suspect. Also Seymour does have a contract for 2013 he signed a 2 year deal last year. A player in his early twenties with considerable potential will always be more valuable than a nearly never was in my books. One thing we desperately need is some genuine pace in the backs, not 5 fly halves.

Page 14 of the 2013 squad so far thread, TIF confirms Seymour for 2013 which someone praised. Unless something has changed since then.

2 dads is a former Wallaby with years of Super rugby experience, much better option than someone who isn't and doesn't have.

Everyone is saying Harvey should be 3rd and 4th in line, hopefully the coaching staff and selectors will see it that way as well. He started a lot of games last year when we thought we had better options available.

There definitely was an article last year saying he was signed for 2. It may have been misreported. Or maybe he had a contract clause. I'd prefer him to Harvey, but unfortunately he didn't really impress this year.
