NSW had enough possession and created enough to win the game. Just couldn't execute.

The halves is where it was lost for NSW. Pearce is average. His kicks in general play are woeful and without fail always find a QLD jumper. He took several wrong options at the pointy end of the field the most noticeable on the last when he had the backline set to his right and chose to kick to himself and made a right hash of it.

Watmough and fifita the best for NSW. McManus did a nice little jig to commit slater to score and looked fairly composed for his first match. Merrin didn't do much until he scored.

I support a third punic war style of scorched earth resolution for the state of QLD. Carthage and QLD are both inferior barbarians and should be seen off in the same fashion.

Thats the thing that is killing me. I couldnt care less who wins but all the Kiwi boys on my Facebook page are killing me. SO MANY BANDWAGONERS who have nothing to do with/never been to QLD!

I cant wait till NSW win and they all STFU!!! Wonder how long it will take for them to support NSW is they get on a roll?

You are spot-on. The Chooks have the worst stats in the NRL for getting repeat sets from attacking kicks. Fred Bogg who coaches the Snake Gully U-12's knows that this is how you build pressure and score points in RL. So should Daley & Co.The high bombs and pressure chase worked in Game one but they are usually a 50/50 result at best. I could never understand why the Coach annointed Pearce as the 7 before any form had been revealed this year. The game was eminently winnable for NSW because the rest of the team, with the exception of Woods, did their jobs. Discipline was loose once again though, and and cost dearly by allowing a tired Maroons to hang in till half time. Daley will keep his job and load Reynolds and Sutton with the pressure of winning at least one in Brisbane next year.

Having said all that; Queensland are doubtless the best Origin side that has ever played. And NSW are not too far off.

Some people know when to take the weekend off, I see too. Senior 5ths are not scheduled to kick-off untill 5:15pm this week. They'd have had to drag him out of the bar by then.
