Oh don't get me wrong, if you go back further, say over 25-30 years it looks good. I know that the past is important, but clinging on to it would get depressing as a supporter

Thinking about the wins for Newport the team would have been made up of local boys from the area so it would be more like Wanneroo or Perth Bayswater beating the AB's and SA and another team like the wallabies, no matter when it happened it would be high on the teams achievement list.

Look back in history and Wales were once a feared team to play, yes it was during the 60's and 70's but if they had world cups back then we would have one or two of them. Aussie rugby is in it's prime and has been for some time now, the Wallabies are a class team but it wasn't always as rosy.

I am the first to admit it is tough to be a Welsh supporter and they seem to go through patches of greatness followed by shock defeats. The first test last year in Aus sums it up, a chance of victory thrown away after the siren had sounded and the game should have been won.

Don't forget the Ospreys club side knocked off the wallabies in the Wednesday game in Nov 2006 as well. I've got the DVD if you want to watch it.

not particularly. I didn't know the Ospreys were officially the welsh national side these days. Although granted they provid the majority of the side these days don't they?? I suppose being a welsh supporter you can't be choosy about the victories you choose

They made up 13 of the starting 15 in the first six nations win so they may as well be. And yes we'll take anything as a win.

We just played Mandurah and the score was 17 all, the half back could have won the game for them after the siren with the conversion but it went wide.

Will be interesting to see how the Celtic Crusaders go in the super league competition.

I wouldn't have a clue how Wales perform in league, isn't the World cup a two horse race again or will England threaten at all. Do they split the country into England, Scotland, Wales ect or is it Great Britian that play?? Shows how much I know about league.

Welsh team to go into the english Super League in 2009. From South Wales too, how things have changed over there. Although they did break a crowd record with 3500 turning up to a game, while over 200, 000 tickets have been sold for the tests in November so maybe to much hasn't changed.

It's a shame the league world cup doesn't have the competition from other countries that threaten to take the crown. Surely it will be a Kangaroos V Kiwi grand final.
