Still not answering the actual question.

    Never mind.

    Play on.

I think he was offside anyway.

But it was a pretty telegraphed play.

now I can see why you have a white cane maybe you cant read as I have stated I said I did not think it was a try on the night.. and watching the replay confirmed this so read my posts

as stated many times the plasy leading up to Habana crosing the line was illegal and that is what i will stick with wether the grounding was right or wrong I honestly think habana was waiting to be called back for being offside and thats why he was not committted to placing the ball correctly but was shocked when awarded the try that he did not score

    Tankar, Tonkar, Tonkar

If you would kindly please calm down and actually read my question, you would then understand my response.

To recap: Did you think that, when Habana went to ground in the process of attempting to score a try, that he had in fact scored a try?

I don't have an issue with how you thought he was offside because you know he wasn't penalised for that. I don't have an issue with your position in the crowd relative to the place where Habane went to ground.

All I wanted to know is what was your immediate response when he went to ground, knowing full well that he was not penalised for being offside? Did you think "Well, he hasn't been pinged for offsides, so BUGGER, he's scored a try!" Or something along those lines. That's all. You seem to have missed the actual question.

Your assertion that I can't read is clearly erroneous as one must be able to read to be able to type. None of your posts in this thread have addressed my specific question. Perhaps it is you; specifically your inability to comprehend the question I asked? On the other hand, I am sure I have not only comprehended your original post and subsequent responses, I also comprehend, and share, your sense of frustration with the lack of team success this season.

I am happy to move on but you seem to have difficulty with this concept.

I do hope your animosity towards me passes in time. There are a number of active referees who are TWF members and even more that come on to this site as guests from time to time and we have a slightly different perspective on the game than those not from a refereeing background. I/we don't purport to be The Answer, but I do like to find out from the other posters why they post certain remarks and, in some cases, try to help educate the reader from a refereeing perspective rather than simply a supporter perspective. (note I haven't done that in this thread...)

Ecky various other posts from the stadium including mine all said it looked like he dropped it before hitting the ground, and most also said they thought he was also off side

Yes I know - and thanks to all who responded

It was Tonkar whom I was asking as it was Tonkar's original post what started this ball rolling.

... by either the lack of an effective game plan or the inability to execute it.

Pretty sure the referee did not influence the final result.

Yeah seriously we're starting to sound like England supporters whenever they get knocked out of a World Cup: "We would have won if Maradona hadn't used his hand"... "We would have won if Beckham hadn't got himself red carded"... "We would have won if Seaman hadn't gone off his line"... "We would have won if Cueto's try hadn't been disallowed"... "We would have won if Ronaldo wasn't such a cheat"... That's what we sound like.

"we would have won if George Ayoub wasnt blind"...

I know luck follows success, and refs are more likely to favour big teams than small (see bleating in England about ManU etc), but some of the decisions (and more importantly the entire refereeing performance) against the Force really have been laughable.

Peyper was 40m behind the play in poor visibility, why wouldn't he go upstairs? Ego is the reason.
