I dont see how your comparison is "apt" after years of shithouse northern sides being sent south compared to a one off test. To suggest that Deans may rest players more often is nothing more then speculation..
The point was that if the Northern Unions continue to send pissweak teams south in June the point of the tours (their not even tours in the traditional sense) is wearing thin, so lets "untie their hands" and tell them to stay at home. Its getting to the point where it is only a money making exercise, and one that is failing because the public wants competitive rugby not one sided tests, as displayed by sluggish ticket sales.
