"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to Giteau."
Hi all
The 9th season of MbB started tonight and goes to April 2010.
Details of the programme and other important info can be found on our website
We've raised just ove $1.6 million of kids' charities so far, with a little over $600,000 of that from last season alone!
Come on; grab your family/mates etc and head down!

Who are the beneficiaries this year, Ecky?
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
"12 Years aSupporter" starring the #SeaOfBlue
yeah, I checked that before posting BB - I was trying in a subtle way to draw more attention the fact that Movies by Burswood is a not for profit organisation raising money for worthy charities
Must be lovin' the lack of DLS this year, Ecky!
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
..... so anyway, Movies By Burswood is a not-for-profit organisation which donates 100% (ie all of it - every last cent) of monies raised to children's charities.
Details of the charities we support this season are on the website.
...and yes - I am one of them that voted against daylight saving. The main reason for not supporting it was my involvement in MbB. There. I said it.
and the tickets are pretty cheap too!
"Believe in the best, think your best, study your best, have a goal for your best, never be satisfied with less than your best, try your best, and in the long run things will turn out for the best."
Lonzy it is a lazy night's entertainment - Lying on a mat under the stars - people are not to close - easy stroll back to the car - we enjoyed it last year
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
Hi again all
The 2010-11 season of Movies By Burswood is nigh.
You know how marvellous it is, what with 100% of profits going to children's charities and all that, so have a look at the website to make your plans for this season. (this link is broken at the time of typing but will be fixed directly...)
For those of you north of the river who think Burswood is too far to travel, we have Movies at Stirling, in the Stirling Gardens, from 16 Dec 2010 to 12 March 2011 as a splendid alternative. Check that website out if so inclined.
Go on, you know you want to come to the movies...
Guess what everyone?
Yep - you done gone & guessed it!
Season 2011-12 starts on Thursday. A much, much stronger program this season, so there's plenty of choice for everyone. Go on; you know you want to come along and check it out.
Here's where you'll find the programmme, plus all the other details you need.
So, thanks to all of the TWF family who went along. And everyone else as well too also.
Last season we raised a tad over $729,300 for the children's charities we support, bringing the total over the 11 year history to $3,759,649.87.
Season 12 kicks off in December with three venues this time around! Obviously I'll post more details closer to the season launch.
where is the 3rd one?
“Everyone knows whether it’s rugby, politics or whatever, front-rowers should rule the world, so to have a hooker at the helm makes sense,” Nathan Charles Western Force & Wallabies Hooker.
We're baaaaaaaaaack!
Season 12 of Bankwest Movies By Burswood kicks off at the Burswood Parklands venue Thursday 6th December.
The Bassendean venue (BIC Reserve, cnr Wilson St/Guildford Rd) starts Thursday 13th December.
The New Venue, Henderson Court, Curtin Uni, opens Friday 7th December.
Details of each venue, pricing, which charities 100% of our profits will be supporting and stuff like that, are at www.moviesbyburswood.com.
To date we've raised $3.75 million for the children's charities we've supported and looking forward to a fair few more season ahead.
So, all of you who have been will already be planning their visits but will have the new venue to consider
Those who haven't been can now start your planning, hey?
Oh, and we have a brief spot on Telethon about 12:15 - 12:30 pm Sunday arv
Hi folks
Season 13 got underway last night at the Burswood venue, with the Bassendean and Curtin venues opening shortly. New venue at Mandurah later in the season as well.
As always, www.moviesbyburswood.com will give you all the info you could possibly want.
Come one, come all and support the only outdoor movies that donates 100% of its profits to children's charities. I'm pretty sure we're at almost $5mil in donations to said charities to date.![]()

Wow.
15th season is up & running.
Original Burswood venue season opened this week. Bassendean, Murdoch and Mandurah coming soon to a place near you, especially if you live near Bassendean, Murdoch or Mandurah.
To date we've raised a bit over $6MILLION for children's charites; $808-odd thousand last season (meaning I got to meet Susannah Carr and hand her a cheque at Telethon a wee wile ago)
Head over to the website and make your plans for the season ahead folks.
