Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!
Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?
Wasn't that game their opportunity to wrap up the Premiership Plate as well?
Lets hope the tickets are selling well for this game. Its hard to tell because I now realise how deceiving it is looking at the Ticketmaster site and wont use that to try and judge ticket sales again.
With the kids come free promotion when you buy atleast 1 adult ticket it should be a huge incentive to drag whatever kids you have or even know who show a passing interest in the sport to come, kids mates from school etc. If you are thinking of coming to a gane this season then this game is it. It will be hugely dissapointing to have a sub 10k crowd again, and it will have dire consequences for the sport if we end up with another sub 8k crowd. I know im dragging my other half and youngest one to the game no matter what.. hopefully I can pursuade some more people to come between now and Friday.
It should be a cracking game most of the AP Dragon players are Otago born and bred and there are a few kiwis strengthening the squad too so expect a good tight tussle. You wont know unless you get there and see it live. GO FORCE!
if you are a glory fan, surely every game is in the diary?
the question was, what made the attendance double.
i was more interested to hear if there was a shitload of marketing involved or what.
despite their best season ever in the A-league, crowds have stayed almost static, until this game.
due to breaks and 3 consecutive away games, this was the first home game for 6 weeks, but i don't see how this would affect crowd figures this much.
cider my arse
Havign looked at the attendances for last year, the 1st home game against Melbourne Victory was also the best attendance during that season. Is there some special emnity between the Glory and Melbourne Victory, which might bring out additional spectators?
Otherwise, not having a game for a 6 weeks, and then a Saturday afternoon game with good weather and the only other sporting competition being a late Saturday Eagles game (is there much cross-over between soccer and AFL fans?).
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
I'm a Glory member as well as a Force member. There was a metric truckload of marketing, plus Victory is a high profile team and champions last year. And who doesn't like seeing Kevin Muscat's head explode when a decision goes against his team (albeit that didn't happen this time)?

arf. would pay good money to see that.
would that be a no brainer?
it was especially nice to beat them when that cheating twat berisha was playing with them as well.
anyway, onwards and upwards for both teams i hope.
i'll be on the JB's omnibus tonight, go the force

I went to a Glory game at NIB a few years back and it finished 0-0, ive never been back since.
rebels game tonight against the stormers -looks a a massive crowd of about 5K
Tomorrow that pRAvda will have transmogrified that into 15,000
It will be a tad more difficult to explain away the 24-34 scoreline (at 77mins)
Rabble were destined for three in a row. Deadset.
The long sobs of autumn's violins wound my heart with a monotonous languor
Anyone going to give us updates during the game. Babysitter bailed last minute
Laugh and the world laughs with you.......
