The scoreline was 29-5 before Foley made obviously planned and wholesale changes to the starting XV.
There were way too many penalties by the Force. Obviously after the 2 YCs the week before this indicates that discipline needs to be improved - or that the ref was trying to even up the scoreline.
Great to see Hodgo have a good 50 minutes with a couple of characteristic TOW, numerous tackles, some reasonable ball carries and a characteristic try from a rolling maul. His on-field leadership and decision making certainly makes a difference.
Worthwhile trial game with structures being tested by some big and energenic opposition and unpredictable play patterns by the Pacific Dragons.
One more internal trial game (development/broader training squad v the likely starting XXIII (?).
Bring on the Rebels on 27th!
I feel I must apologise to Fulvio and TWF posters. I have been guilty of lowering the moral tone of the forum. I was particularly harsh on Henners, and a plethora of gimps that have worn 9-15 over ten miserable seasons of mediocrity. I would also like to apologise to The Western Force for my harsh criticism of running out a club side to play the British Lions that I had paid big coin for. I wish I could change. Maybe time for a reincarnation?
Don't apologise to me, Rex, save that for posters who care enough about your opinions to be offended by them.
I'm sure there's some.

The game was pretty scrappy. Plenty of dropped balls and confusion. Hopefully there will be plenty of learning points from the game discussed and rectified before the first game.
Woohoo - rugby is back!
Ps: Also great to see Hodgo get away without a major injury...
coz Stone Cold says so
Fulvio "Get off my damn lawn" Sammut and Rex "When I were a lad" Messup. A match made in Rugby (played before 1955) Heaven.
and on valentine's day too!
At least we didn't get absolutely pumped by the Blues.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
