When Crossy went down it was in front of where I sit and he was definately holding his cheek not his jaw. Pretty sure Drew's hips are made of steel, that was a hefty tackle and I thought he wouldn have been out for a bit, but what a trooper!

This is craziness on the injury front, John Mitchell was on ABC news saying how he didn't expect to have 4 broken bones (within the team) from just one game. Like it was said earlier, just proves the boys gave the game their everything!

As for this week's team, Coach Mitchell is spoiled for choice IMHO, while he might not have the most experienced players on the team, they wouldn't be selected if they weren't up to scratch. Good luck to them all!

WTF is a "high" ankle sprain???
It's either your ankle or it's not isn't it????

One of the media reports gave the medical term for that, but don't ask me to remember it. So, not having the slightest, I Googled it. It means damage to the ligament(s?) that hold the tib & fib together and bind them to the ankle bones. They can be hard to diagnose and treat and may require surgery.

You can't bag the boys for leaving nothing in the tank - it was a performance that had to be made, and unfortunately, the EWF are paying for it in the injuries. But to a man (and the many ladies here), it was worth the win!

On Cross - surgeon says they are not bad fractures, but yes there are 3. They will just take time to heal. You're looking at roughly 6 weeks before he's back on the paddock.
