After defeating the Tahs in round one last year, I was slightly inebriated with the Rocky Crew at The Clock Hotel and recall have a drink with Staurt McGill (the spinner) who works for the Moore Park Trust I think it's called that oversee that whole precinct SCG, Allianz etc and they were about to spend a heap on getting more roof cover at Allianaz. I may be wrong though, it was late in the piece!!

Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
It's all pie in the sky stuff. Homebush v Moore park. ANZ came up with the roof idea to make it an all weather stadium. SCG trust got scared and followed suit.
ANZ with some private backing is a better chance of getting a roof. Allianz have now pitched an even more implausible idea of using funds from the sale of the state electricity network to fund an entirely new stadium.
Little chance of that happening. Every man and his dog is lining up for funding. NRL talking about building bigger capacity stadium at Parramatta and rejigging local grounds.
Even though ANZ is a bit soulless but I actually think Tahs should play all their matches there. It's actually cheaper for the Tahs to play there, which is why the tigers, bulldogs, rabbits all play 'home' matches there, but it does give the punters from outlying areas in sydney and gong, central coast a chance to get to a match without braving inner city traffic and parking.
The SFS tenants are now saying they don't want an entirely new stadium as (huge surprise) they will not be able to use the facilities once it is knocked down and rebuilt.
