That's unfortunate and hope he's not out for too long. Relatively easily covered by our good depth at centre though thankfully, with Kahui and Taefu both good options, and as Tazz above suggests, we could put two of our flyhalf options in at 10 and 12 - Lance, Miotti, McIntyre, McGregor. Would likely improve our attack but weaken the defense a bit.
Enjoy the game tonight all... its be a while between drinks.. Cheers twiggy for keeping the dream alive, there no deigning we'd be gone with out you!..
Good for the Force, but also interesting to ponder whether a SRau would have been feasible had things gone to plan and they'd only had four teams...
Taefu easily the best back up option. A specialist 12 who would combine well with Tevita.
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
1316 days on and the Tahs are still rubbish. Time to head to the members bar I Reckon.
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
Don’t think I’ll make it tonight! Will have to watch tomorrow morning. 3 am start today and probably too many beers by the time the Reds finish riming the ‘turds!
May the FORCE be with you!
Jeez Jono's bulked up a bit, nearly didn't recognise him

Your looking good Sea of Blue!
Go the Force!
May the FORCE be with you!
Was it just me, or was that a horribly one sided refereeing performance? We certainly didn't shower ourselves in glory in defence, but didn't get the chance to get any momentum while being whistled off the park for who knows what while the brumbies seemed to largely get away with whatever they liked.
Normal service has resumed I guess, and perhaps it's just me being a one eyed force supporter...
Well as the rebels found out you can’t buy a team!
Out played. Hopefully they will look at that as a warm up match and have a better idea of what to do next week.
May the FORCE be with you!
I was bemused by a few calls but put that down to passion and you don't see everything on the night.
The one that really got me, Brumbies kick it dead from inside the 22 and it's a line dropout we kick it dead from the other side of halfway it's a scrum, I didn't realise there was a difference? Both were one of those kicks that was almost brilliant.
I though McIntyre looked sharp, and their 5 was a dirty cheating bastard all night.
Disappointed but not totally surprised, concerned about the Reds game last week, but if we don't beat the tahs then we have a culture problem.

How good was live rugby with a crowd back in Perth, finally felt like some sort of normality had returned.
Sadly not being able to mix properly with the players and chat at the end was a stark reminder that we still have some way to go with this bloody virus.
Onto the game:
1) Any live rugby is better than no rugby so thank you to Nicola and Andrew Forrest for making it possible and keeping the Force going
2) The Brumbies are good, very good they played well within themselves and probably had another gear if they needed one.
3) The Force, our Force , our Team just being on the field with a crowd cheering them after being so badly treated and slaughter by their own governing body three years back was the biggest winner on the night and in an Australian sporting context probably be the biggest winnerof the year.
4) with all that’s happened and proceeded to where we are now it would have been a fairy tale to have won, however realistically winning was really against the odds and we need to look at the result in this context.
5) I am going to list the positives as there are many of them and this is not a time for negativity as we are just restarting a stalled journey:
We had a team in blue playing in Perth
We had A Perth team
Kids and adults alike had a team to cheer on
The team was coming off just one trial match
Cubelli and Kearney showed some really great touches and with more match time we will see more of it
We were competitive and remained in the game a lot longer than last year
McIntyre looked decent taking the ball to the line
Ralston tackling was a step up from last year and while he did not have many attacking opportunities keep an eye on this kid this year
Front row looks to have set a more stable platform than we had last year
The line outs showed a marked improvement
Lots for Tim to work on and onwards and upwards from here
Simon Cron: “People talk about winning and losing all the time and they are critical, but there’s a process to get into and it’s the ability to stay present, do your job and execute skills under pressure.”
In the most excellent tradition started by Tazz.
Here is my Positive review of last night's match between the Harvey Beef Western Force and the Brumbies.
- Version 3.0 of the ManCave is almost finished.
- I might have shed a tear when the Force boys ran out onto HBF Field. The ManCave is pretty dusty.
- Force forwards worked hard to allow Ian Prior good quick ball.
- Robertson and Medrano run up the middle of the field were a joy to watch.
- Rob Kearny had a solid first hit out.
- Cubelli looked great.
- Kahui looked good.
- Our Flankers: Koteka, Lexana, and Stander worked their bums off all game.
- Tim Anstee was an absolute revelation, what a work-horse in both attack and defense.
- Great crowd.
- Stan's commentary team for both games was good. Analysis from Campese and Cheika was on point and relevant and provided value to the telecast.
I am very much looking forward to this season of Super Rugby.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
