The problem is consistently they have been alright props in Super rugby but once it gets to the Wallaby matches they are just not up to scratch, they CANNOT switch gears....that's why it would be interesting to try some props who may not seem as impressive in Super rugby but have the potential to go up a gear, the potential to rise to the occasion...I think Aussie Robbie will be more willing to test out these unknown quantities so as to uncover a few gems, like he has done throughout his coaching career with the 2008 champion Super 14 champions, the Crusaders.
Nothing to lose.........he knows what the established Front Row is and how it performs.......He may as well pick the entire WA under 14 front row for the Wallabies, at least he might uncover some hidden talent! Can't say thehas a bunch to offer right now, but possibly in a yellow jersey, with some more time, and those good Growden-style pies, they might kick some springbok ass!

I don't think the Force props are up to scratch to be honest, Pek has gone forward strides this season but still needs another season....Longbottom needs another season as well....the rest I don't think are good enough...Boof I'm not sure....
ok, maybe not aj or pek, but boof is, in my opinion, the best prop around... hopefully not leaving us! id put him on the bench, at least!
A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...

I think Shortarse is the best potential we have as a prop, and that's not just because he's local.
He got many a point from me against the Chiefs, when he came on, early with Pek no chance of pulling his butt out of the fire K-Man stopped our scrum from backpedalling and also brought the agression around the park. Before that night, I was comfortable with thinking he wasn't quite cooked yet.....that night proved to me he's ready for the next step, and def has the potential (given what I've seen around the country) to play in the green and gold.....Not bad for a local fatty!

sheesh, if NSW win the S14 at least you can comfortably say it wasnt on the back of a kicking tee.
Longbottom was definitely the stand out for me...very impressive...Pek will be there very shortly...id like to see him get an early wallaby guernsey and see how he fares
We cant keep with the same dodgy front row that gets smashed every wallabies match...
coz Stone Cold says so
and the lemonade sandwich doesn't count, is he still a prop or moved to flanker?
Assuming he will be overlooked as starting Hooker for Stephen Moore, I think our best bench option will be McIsaac and a specialist Tighthead as Taipan is a better than average Loosehead too.
Will have to watch more of these replay's yet but, at this stage, I would be suprised if any others from the Force Front Row make the Squad.
Agree with GIGS earlier though regarding Longbottom in the Chiefs match, was a pretty impressive effort and may be worthy of an Australia A Squad exposure.

Good one Robyn, now here was a thread discussing a very important issue that is goal kicking and you turned it into yet another front row fatty debate...thanks...
Every forwards dream is to become a back...
sorry!then...
kurtley shouldn't kick. they must have someone else who can kick... and NOT hit the posts
