Hmmm - that's a shame that that perception still exists.
It is fair to say that some clubs have a particular reputation (for example Neddies' former captain was considered to be a real handful and difficult to deal with on the field - I, however, have reffed Trefor a number of times and had no issues whatever. Similarly Stookie was considered to be a pain but I never experienced any major troubles with him) and there is a perception about individuals as well as teams (do all of Soaks' team really kill the ball at every opportunity?) but that perception is formed in however manner and dealt with by what the ref sees on the day. That is, in the vast, vast majority of cases. I know of one individual ref who seems to have a "thing" about a couple of clubs, but I don't know whether that translates to penalty/free kicks on the park or not.
In recent weeks I was "warned" by a referee coach about a particular team who had a couple of players seemigly intent on disrupting the scrum. I looked at what was happening and dealt with what I saw. The player/s were indeed causing a disruption but modified their play once they were penalised.
I know of no general "warning/advice/caution" about any particular team or club.
