... a proper rectangular one at that, too.

ok...heres mine.......
Dear Prime Minister,
You may well receive many of these requests in regards to this subject because there are 30,000 loyal Western Force Rugby fans who feel we are getting a raw deal from the WA Government in regards to a "PROPER RECTANGULAR STADIUM".
In 2005 the WA Government committed in the order of $25mill to upgrading a rectangular stadium in order to secure the 4th Super 14 franchise here in Perth.
Well the Western Force is here and now Mr Carpenter is welshing on his bets.
The loyal Rugby fans of WA have had to put up for 2 years with a sub standard stadium and a hostile landlord who wont even paint our sidelines sufficient enough for the TMO to see the try which would have seen us defeat the Crusaders.
While I recognise that the Federal Government does not have responsibility for Stadia in the states, I ask that you have your local members here in WA put some pressure on the WA government to commit to a "PROPER RECTANGULAR STADIUM".
Thank you for your time.
Regards
Gerry
PS... Go the Wallabies.
PPS...You dont have to declare a Public Holiday when we win the Rugby World Cup...my AWA takes into account "significant Rugby events"...but if you want to then thats OK...
.
nicw one gerry. i forgot to mention the labour party in mine, that will get him reved up and on our side!
awesome boys...I'm actually serious about taking all this with me!

Nice work WA Rugbarians. I feel sure this new tactic we have taken up will expose the oppositions weakness.
Jehna I hope you have a successful trip to Canberra and that youths of Western Australia benefit from your encounters with the leaders of the major political parties.
There is however one extremely important question you can ask both the leaders of the political factions that is at the foremost of all Western Australian Rugby fans thoughts.
Should the Western Force and/or the Perth Spirit have cheerleaders?
Brother Gallagher I hear you
dont forget to mention that we will have a NRL team in 2010
I'm sure Kev will be up for this......as long as they can dance around the goal posts!!!!!Originally Posted by no.8

You guys are all too nice. How about something like this?
"
Like every voter, I fully expect lots of politicking and cash-chucking promises in the lead-up to the federal election. Like every voter, I just want things done, and I don’t care by whom.
There are many critical issues around health, education and the economy which both sides of politics seem to be addressing so far. These are the essentials, and these shouldn’t be subject to argument. "Non-essentials", the things that help build a nation and a society and not just an economy, often seem to get ignored.
I’m a rugby fan in a state which has proven its steadfast and solid commitment to rugby over the last few years. I’m a rugby fan in a state which has also proven its steadfast and solid commitment to reports, commissions, and “fact-finding".
After years of waiting, Western Australia is finally being promised a “multi-purpose” stadium somewhere in the metropolitan region at an indeterminate point in the future which will only sufficiently serve one sport, that is AFL.
Enough. WA needs a modern, safe, large rectangular stadium.
Will your government, at all its levels, help to provide it? "
If I'm in a marginal seat, surely I can afford to be direct?![]()

"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to Giteau."
