Something else to think about - RugbyWA have more to contend with then just not enough seats and corporate facilities at MES.
how about a lack of - Media Facilities, Big Screen, PLayers Change rooms, Referees rooms etc etc etc

But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Definitely need a big screen for those of us who love the replays.
As I've stated before, I'll be there no matter the seat allocation and like Gigs, I signed up Little Miss KQ this year though not so much because of a possible waiting list but to be sure I planted the rugby seed in her developing brain nice and early. I'm sure she's going to love MES though I think there will be an initial resistance..at her age isn't the general perception "bigger is better"?
They'd better have a seat for the Little Miss next to meself otherwise I will go on a hunger strike.
Also, I'll be interested to see whether groups that signed up together and have sat together for the past 3-4 years will get grouped together (in my case, we are a group of 6).
"Even so, the club boasts nearly 17,000 season-ticket holders who are likely to renew next year, leaving only about 3000 seats to be sold."Huh, when did that happen and where the hell are they game day? I thought it was about 11,000...?
The board will be required to choose whether to take the loyal money and run, or leave a small block of seats open on a game-by-game basis for those unable to afford the cost of a season ticket. As someone that occassionally follows the Force on the road, I hope they also think about some provision for travelling supporters.
"Although the master plan has yet to be finalised, temporary stands are likely to be erected in the corners at the southern end of the facility, with corporate facilities similar to those around the 18th green at the Johnnie Walker Classic golf tournament hemming in The Shed at the northern end.Personally, I like the egalitarian nature of the concept. My understanding is that this is how most of the corporate stuff is done in SA and, if successful, could save a fortune if also retained in future renovations of MES (seats, not suites). Let's just hope our corporates are the type of people that enjoy camping.
The limited number of suites, existing or new, is likely to lead to a new category of corporate membership which will involve a seat in a grandstand and a section of a marquee on the adjacent Loton Park."
"The Force continue to lobby the State Government to fund a new multi-tier grandstand on the eastern side of Members Equity Stadium to increase the ground’s capacity to 25,000."I guess we'll find out shortly, but I'd've thought the budget must be pretty much finalised by now so any ongoing lobbying is probably a waste of time. It would be nice to think that they have already had some indication that the money is on the way, otherwise definitive statements about moving could make for a nasty backfire.

Not just for the spectators KQ It's in the match contract that a big screen is a requirement.
I am of the understanding that the pitch is not of the correct dimensions for a sanctioned Super 14 game as well. Surely all of these things have been researched by thebefore committing to 2010, possibly they've sought a relaxation of the requirements from SANZAR in order to undertake the upgrade.
I'm convinced that there's some sort of back-room deal happenning which has pretty much stitched up the deal......surely RugbyWA aren't stupid enough to make the move without the promise of the upgrade, the two go hand-in-hand

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Andy. Season Ticket holder covers a lot of different people, but also includes Members. WNC has been begging RugbyWA to quote this figure for about 4 months now.
As I understand it - there are requirements for RugbyWA to provide season tickets to players wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, kids, mums, dads, Australian Rugby HangersOn, Sponsors, Club Rugby, Junior Rugby, SANZAR, New Zealand Rugby, South African Rugby etc etc etc. Alot of these seats are very rarely used. but, must, in the first instance be made available to the above list.

In that case, they perhaps have the travelling supporters covered. But even then, 6,000 "allowance" seats seems a lot. I wonder too if there are any requirements imposed - if that was how we got seats for Canberra, they were behind the try line.
what does this mean for future wallaby matches though?
there is obviously a dislike for Subiaco, will fans be happy to ignore the poor rugby facilities at subiaco to watch the wallabies matches?
Once a year isnt too bad TOCC.
Our limited research says they will put up with it for test matches.
Most people who signed the petition complained about the week in-week out nature of the Super 14 being unsuitable, given that the crowd sits in a half empty stadium watching the game on a crappy surface from lightyears away. they recognised the difference between that and a sold out stadium with a crappy surface and lightyears away.

I have read in places once or twice that seating arrangements for current members will be based on longest time members first to least time members and seating will be worked on the appropriate zones (gold, silver, etc) and the nearest match to current seating at spewbi.

Pretty sure that the Town of Vincent have provided the Big Screen TV.
Hoping that they come up with Gold, Silver, Nickel again and that the longest serving in each group get the "Best" in that category. However I'm used to the peps in front and behind now and will kindda miss them after 3 years (we now exchange Easter Eggs and stuff) in between the Force Goss etc,, but the upside is a RECTANGULAR Stadium with sound and no reliance on a TV to watch the game. The eggs I can live without
