Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Yup. And let's face it, excuse me for stating the bleedin' obvious, but it's the strength work up front to either drive the ball forwards or release it to the backs with space that makes rugby (union) different, and is why we love it. Well, for me, anyway. It's meant to be a tough, muddy game!Originally Posted by GiteauIsGunnaScoreTwenty
So yeah, bulk up guys (eat more beef!), and spruce up your scrummaging skills too.
Keeping the Faith ... right here in Perth!
Message to the England players:
See? You can win if you score a try! Go on, give it more of a go....
(yes, yes, admittedly it wasn't from any sparkling lead-up play from the backs but hell, it's what made the difference in the end)
england deserve the win. and i do rate wilkinson. but i dontlike the way that england have again gotten into the rwc final soley off his boot. i wouldnt have an issue as much if france were il discipline through the whole game. but from what ive watched they werent. it just happens that if they give a penalty within 55m from goal wilkinson will most likely kick it.
a solution to stop rugby turning into a kicking shootout.
make trys worth more and penaltys and drop goals less.
I thought it was a good attacking game, could have gone either way like many of the WRC games. If kicking to win is that easy why isn't every team doing it. If any other team had a JW they would use him in the same way. Play to your strengths and win or play to suit the other teams style and lose.
It's great to to see running Rugby but good scrummage, rucks and mauls are just as exciting.
Personally I,d like to see Jonny tested a bit more, I think that the uprights above the bar should be narrowed to about a metre wide to to see how good he is. He seems to be straying from the centre of the posts a bit these days.
Saffas in the final, could go either way 36-0 again. Thats only 12 free kicks..
That will not be happening....FT has it covered....the FIRST team with two world cups......you can only be first once, second is just 1st losersOriginally Posted by wilko

80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?
Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!

No free kicks can score points. That'd be "only 12 penalty kicks"

Nah, still can't score. You have to have contact from the opposition, like a tackle, ruck or maul. Then he can have a pot at a drop goal.Originally Posted by GiteauIsGunnaScoreTwenty
