How's the AFL bidding going to work?!!! I thought it was extremely expensive ... so expensive that free to air channels have to pool their resources ... but I digress...

domattw: I've been following it closely on Whirlpool (Aussie Tech forum).
There are no definite prices as yet but you must have a BoB (device from iinet). These can be bought for $270/$370 or rented at $10/mo. Speculation about the Set Top box suggests an outright purchase (if one could be made, which it won't) is around $300. I suggested it could be rented for the same duration as the B0B at $15/mo, so $25/mo all up for the stuff.
Content-wise there is nothing available (although you can have a look at the FetchTV site in Malaysia to get an idea. Note that FetchTV in the UK is apparently not the same as here (like Woolworths and Woolworths). Speculated price for content is $30/mo, but others have expected 20-25. Go with 30 to be safe.
On those prices $55/mo for the whole box and dice, but we'll have to wait and see solid details.
