Pretty sure that Wilhelm Steenkamp has done the same. Good luck to them both :-)

I see that the Rabble have cut three players to sign Angus Cottrell on a full contact.

Hold it, you can't just"cut" players... Their contract must be payed out. They must be reducing the squad size. So they are going to pay a further $200k or so for Gus, on top of the squillions already shelled out.
Unless they are talking about guys like Kotecka, who are trying out, not contracted, just like Gus.
Edit...nope, Reid and Shippers are contracted. Don't know the other bloke
The long sobs of autumn's violins wound my heart with a monotonous languor
Pama Fou came to the Rebels from the 7s. All three have injury profiles so they can say that they are unlikely to get much game time. Some teams just release players even if they have contracts.

The Rebels can release players at will. They have about eleventy million of them to start off with, so no selection headache. Somebody else worries about the money don't they?
My take away was three more Rebels considered not as good as options from the Force. Remind me again why the Force was the one assed? Wasn't it performance? or was it finance?

The Rebels seem to be the only side with any foreign internationals. None of the listed foreign players for each side have any caps:
Brumbies: Nic Mayhew (NZ), Mees Eramus (SA), Isi Naisirani (Fiji), Wharenui Hawera (NZ), Chance Peni (NZ/Cook Is), James Verity-Amm (SA)
Reds: Jean-Pierre Smith (SA), Teti Tela (Fiji), Filipo Daugunu (Fiji)
Tahs: Angus Ta'avao (NZ, but Aus qualified)
I should think Eramus and Peni should qualify as Australian under residency now, too.
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
As long as Erasmus didn't have many stints back in SA while he was at Palmyra before becoming part of the Spirit. That can break your residency.
In regards to Peni I believe after arriving as a young child you spend up to ten years in Australia you automatically assume Australian Citizenship.
