if you have the shop hack installed you can give people points for posts, thread views/replies etc.
Does betting work differently over there or am i just not understanding the logic of some tactics?
For example on a game where the odds are exactly the same for say England being within 17 points and Australia winning more than this (both exclusive...i.e. they can't both happen) why would anyone bet the same amount on both options? if my maths are correct (the odds were 4/3 at the time of this post) a bet of say 50 vpoints would earn 87.5 vpoints (including the original stake being returned). To achive this the punter would have risked 100 vpoints and will always end up with less vpoints than if he hadn't placed a bet at all.
Thats right - it'd be pointless betting on both outcomes.... All the more vmoney in my vpockets![]()

Actually its called margin betting...and the odds we are offering is $2.33 as compared to the TAB paying $1.85 for the margin bet. You see if Eng lose by only 10 points then by you betting on Eng you win...get it? And its a much better return then betting on Aus to win with a return of only $1.06 or something..but if you think Eng can get close...within 17.5 points...you win $2.33
Got it? PM me me you need any advice....
PS...Never trust a bookie...
Thanks TG, actually my original post was a bit tongue-in-cheek and happily Coach & Burgs managed to decipher my celtic wit!
I understood the principle of margin betting but not the logic of a punter betting on both scenarios in the same game (see coach's post above ref Moses).
With choices like that being made its little wonder you never see a poor bookie.
Anyway, thanks for the reply and congrats for your part in this venture, it continues to give me a reason to log on during the Force off-season.
