A very big hook on a pole for bringing fish on board ????
The levy you mentioned Fulvio has been confirmed at 200 dollars plus GST for every team including juniors
Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.
Yes, and I see that Nick Taylor rewrote my piece in today's West.
He added that Pulver blamed the losses on the ARU's extravagant spending, particularly excessive salaries paid to administrators.
Are the clubs, and in particular, RugbyWA going to take this crap lying down?
What steps have been taken to recoup losses? What review has their been of salaries? How much have they been reduced? What internal audits have been conducted to identify waste and misapropriation, if any? What curbs have been put in place to curtail unnecessary travel and "expenses"?
When these issues, and others, have been publicly and transparently addressed, then and only then, and after the ARU comes cap in hand to the clubs, muttering mea culpa, maxima mea culpa, can the ARU beg the state unions to assist them.
What a hide to cavalierly acknowledge their stuff ups and demand to be bailed out, including by kids playing in the under 6's no less!
Maybe some body, with gonads larger than a gnat's, should whisper something in their ear!
Fat chance.
Most clubs would have already set junior / senior fees. Coming up with another $5,500 for example for a club with 6 senior and 19 junior teams is something that really needs to be in the long term budget forecast for the volunteer grassroots clubs.
Yet again it is put on the shoulders of the volunteer run clubs - more pressure on those who need it least.
I just did Gigs.![]()
blame Nedlands for all of this--they must have whisper of this happening & have accordingly reduced the number of junior sides they have been putting out including a away training venue to fool the ARU

Come to think of it, a levy by the ARU on each grade a club didn't field, of, say, $1000 for seniors and $5000 for juniors, might at least have some merit.
Brocken Down, thought I'd give you the heads up.
According to the Joondalup's website they've just imported three you beaut Fijian players, just right for the plucking by Neddies.
A couple of extra bucks might even swing them to run your Northern Junior Academy.
Now don't say I don't do things for you guys.
Sorry Fulvia bit old that. Just couldn't be bothered to post it
Paly have some left over stock they can sell you dirt cheap.
For what its worth - nothing has been mentioned about this levy to any of the Sydney Subbies Competition.
Yet.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
