Guys, Tyrell butchered his first three throws (quite spectacularly as a matter of fact) and was hooked for Pek. Pek missed two, got hurt, Ryan came back on.

At the end of the game, the lineout stats for the reds was 15/5........I can only guess that Tyrell missed nothing after coming back on (and hit 10 since our lineout stats were 10/3 (or was it 10/4) so his first 20 minutes in Super 14 were (honestly) shit, but the remaining 40 or 50 were pretty dam solid, his work around the park was enthusiastic and his scrummaging was solid.....I'd say he did OK for a first gamer!

I don't think that 5 takes into account not straight throws. I'm pretty sure there were at least 5 overthrows like you mention and about another 4 or 5 not straight. One of them was a bit of a joke the Reds weren't even contesting it and it was still called not straight.

Was there a third person throwing one of the lineouts?
I got distracted for one lineout and only saw it after it was thrown but was sure it was a blonde head on the sideline not Pek or Ryan.
As I recall it also was crooked, but at least they tried something, may have been when Pek got injured perhaps.

Positives- Spanna being the gracious gentleman that he is and making sure to come over to our side of the ground to thank the InnForcers for coming over, and for trying to corrale his team-mates to do the same. What a champ.

The same cannot be said for Mr-tah-blue-boots-Dunning.

Agreed wrt Scott Swee - huge respect to him for taking the time when he really can't have felt much like it. But, whilst he may have been reluctant, credit where credit is due and Matt did still make the trek across. Cheers to both of them.

Reluctant or otherwise, dropping f-bombs about it is unnecessary. FAIL.

One positive is that when Dunning did come onto the field the scrum didn't immediately collapse, which is rather what happened in the Chiefs game. I'm not great fan of Dunning (as anyone on the tour will tell you) but he provided an adequate replacement against the Reds.

Of course, considering he's coming on fresh against tiring legs, and with his experience and reputation, you'd expect an improvement rather than a status quo. If Pek is fit, I'd prefer Pek on the bench covering both props (Fairbrother and Henderson).

I had a chat with Andre Pretorius during half time and he reckons the boys are playing with very little confidence in themselves, and have forgotten HOW TO WIN!....I believe he's on the money..perhaps they need some hypnotism or something to get them back into believing in themselves.. Try anything to get them back into the game...

I have found that when someone is having a crisis of confidence the thing that helps most is to know that those who love you still have confidence in you.

I LOVE YOU FORCE AND I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!

I will be there at the next game and the one after, and next season and the one after.

    You are my team!

The manager needs to pop down to the local dairy (deli) and pick up a couple of cans of harden the f..k up and maybe a can of ability!

I think Pretorious may be right, losing, like winning, can easily become a habit.

Carn the Force, you're killing me at my local i.e. it's not all about you!

OK, let's get this sorted right now.

Any Force player who logs on here and has a sneaky look be aware WE DON'T CARE IF YOU WIN.....all we want is to see some good rugby....have a crack, make us proud.....fight the good fight, if it ends up with us on the wrong side of a drubbing I don't give a stuff, let's just see some good looking rugby

I told my juniors that every game last year.......more often than not, the good looking rugby resulted in great scores as well!

Chatting with one of the trainers at the Captain's Run he said that he and some of the players came on the TWF site, partly as we seemed to get the gossip before they did! So...

    CARN THE FORCE!
