Tonkar, last week I would have probably been up you as well.......a week's a long time in rugby supporting apparently.
I'm still not totally sure whether it's the coach or the players, but I do know leadership, being involved at a high level in my job......it might not be RGs fault, but the fix is certainly his responsibility. I guess we'll see his worth as a coach in coming weeks.
The thing I liked about John Mitchell was that, even when he persisted with a player who was below par (like Drew) he always did stuff around them and tried different things. We've now seen three weeks of an inside back combination which isn't generating attack on its own, nor is it unleashing what should be a pretty dangerous back three. But all we seem to do is shuffle the same three, similar players through the centres and praise the steps we're making in each loss.
It's time to come out and say we're not happy with what happened and we're making some changes in the search for a solution.
Anything else is weak, and simply shuffling deck chairs on the titanic.
If Graham is a real coach, we'll see something from left field for the Tahs.....now I don't know what that will be, maybe it'll be starting with Seymour and bringing Chucky off the bench, maybe Mafi into 12 (thought about that this afternoon....it might work!) it might be Shep to 10, it might be getting the ARU to agree to let us trial this Dave Harvey bloke for three weeks while we're searching for a 2 year development player. Maybe Cullet to 13 (but that's not really innovative, I've been screaming for that all year) do something except sit with your thumb up your a$$ and praise them for coming closer, but being further behind on the scoreboard.
Can anybody tell I'm frustrated?
