"The Brumbies new coach Jake White is chasing Force prop Matt Dunning whose contract is up for renewal at the end of this season.
Dunning, who would replace Salesi Ma'afu who has signed for two seasons with Force, may take up the offer to be closer to his family who stayed in Sydney when he moved west two years ago."

Apology, eh? Fair enough, but you gotta admit a lot of the donut jokes and the like were pretty funny. I especially liked the ones about him playing a tuba on the sidelines. Creates a hilarious mental image.
Well it did until he fell out of the Wallaby squad and had to do pre-season S&C, anyway. He's certainly turned out a valuable team member.![]()

Matt's coming to the Brumbies next year... an offer he can't refuse... closer to his family...
Surely the Force aren't planning on keeping Dunning? Not that I haven't enjoyed the Chubber playing for us this season, but we have Cowan, Longbottom, Faulkner and Ma'afu signed. Plus either PAE and/or CAN in to make up 5/6.
Dunning is getting to the age and physical condition that he will miss as many games as he plays. Dunning to the Brumbies isn't a long term option and, seeing as he seems to play better at 3 than at 1, probably not a good option in the current climate. What's Greg Holmes' contract situation? He showed so much promise in 2007, perhaps a move south (I am pretty sure him and Moore are mates) might revitalize his career.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
