All things being equal, I'd be pretty confident about Chiefs away early in the season. but they've lost three in a row and the fourth is a HUGE ask for our boys.......I know we've got the talent, and the structures, but i've been bitten once too often by our top two inches......nervous, but hopeful!
C'mon the
We struggled in the scrum when Pek was injured and Holmesy could hardly stand up. I think it was sporting of us to continue and not bring them off to have uncontested scrums.
I rate Takiari as a better scrummager than both Longbottom and AJ, and I like his work around the park. Otherwise its as good a team as we can put on the park. JOC on in the second half to open up the game if its tight. Hope its a dry track.

23, that's a heat wave over there!
Can't wait for Matty H put a bit of pressure on the Brown Dog for his spot, it will keep him on his toes for the rest of the season, and with any luck lead to a signature, he's one dog I don't want let out!

The chiefs have a very strong lineup even without mils and luaki, will be very tough at home.Backline is packed with speed to burn with masaga, kahui, anese, sivivatu.Leonard will be a handleful for valentine, very fast and strong.Messam,Latimer and Lilo will also be a handful around the park and at the breakdown.
We really need to step it up in the forwards and keep the ball away from the chiefs speedsters.
Our defence will be the key to winning this game.
Bad news guys. Matt Goddard is reffing this one. We might have to chalk it up as an 'experience' and move on. There is always new week.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
Goddard surely cant be as bad as that tool James Leckie ........
agreed!! Force are gonna beat them Chiefs down!

Nup I refuse to believe that. You can't blame refs entirely for the way a game goes. We know this ref, we know what he looks for, we know what he favours, and what rules he tends to play by. Our job therefore is to play to his game. As much as we may not like it, refs are the masters of this game and smart teams will understand that and play to it.
"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to Giteau."
It was mostly said tongue in cheek.

Weather a big factor tonight, appears sloppy... it will be a tight close one... Didn't Mitch and crew corner Goddard at the casino last week after the match in Canberra, may be they got their point across... game will likely be won on penalties…
The kiwi teams have a tendency to go off their feet and kill the ball in sloppy conditions. They also tend to get away with it. Hope the ref is as strict with them as he was with Bam Bam last week.
