Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Sorry Robyn, was wearing my Wallaby hat in that one. Yes, I get often get confused about myself too. Ok, to set the record straight(ish), I support the Wallabies so long as they are not playing the mighty All Blacks. In this case, the Wallabies are playing the Saffers so I've got my Wallaby colours on.
To answer your question, I would be sincerely pleased if Drew makes it to the starting XV (whether as fullback or wing though I'm doubting it will be either) because he is in good form.
Good to see Vickerman is chosen. Hopefully can be Sharpie's partner in the line outs. Nothing wrong with Dean Mumm though.
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
I'd like to see Vicks/Horwill with Mumm on the bench, Vicks is unlikely to be fit for the Perth test however.
A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...

Well, it's a real bugger that Shep is gone. the move that confirmed him as the Wallaby fullback over all competition also resulted in a broken leg....go figure, maybe they should operate and replace the plasticene in his lower body with something more durable.
Now that Shep is out of the question. I'd suggest that the back three should be Hynes Lote and Mitch, (with the obvious choice of Mitch at fullback).
I know I've gone on at length about fullback not being the right position for Drew, and I don't back down from any of that, but in this squad, there just isn't another fullback in my opinion! Lachie is still a bit green, put him on a wing late in the game to sort his head out, he blew it big time in his debut and I'm surprised he stayed in the squad.
As for Hoiles, well he was a colossal fizzer on Saturday night, dropping him from the squad was the right decision, the French backrow were softer than uncooked souffle....well right up until Harinodorkey beat the shit out of the left side of horwill's face......one scrum later the retained their squishy consistency. Neither the Boks or the Blacks will be similarly easy to eat with a straw.
Locks....well, there really isn't a question this year. for all Gus's (was it gus last week? If not, sorry Gus) concerns about the things Sharpie doesn't do (which, I must say I agreed with) at least Sharpie can catch lineout ball, and not drop the ball EVERY time he runs with it......Sharpe and Vicks for the locks with Mummy's boy on the bench....he seems to be the back up once Vicks calls it quits.
The back row is the only real question left (given that the A team's front row isn't really any better than the top team) I don't know whether I'd use cliffy or not....he sure had Brownie's (and just about anybody else's) in the S14 but has totally disappeared since wearing gold...guess it doesn't match his handbag. I'd try brown at 8 with Waugh on the bench......the Smith, Waugh, Elsom thing is working, even though George at 8 is a bit like Drw at 15 or Gits at 10 (A player playing out of position because we're oversupplied in his actual position) Brownie hasn't had the same impact internationally as in S14, but I think ELVs will take care of most of that!
IMHO
C'mon the
Don't think it was me. I don't recall arguing against Sharpe at all recently.
I think it should be Sharpe and Vicks starting with Horwill on the bench. Both are great lineout jumpers. Vicks is one of the best tacklers around (didn't he have like 40 something tackles against the Force). Sharpe is great at getting the short 5 to 10 metre gains. The combination works well. Horwill seems to be the better option on the bench over Mumm. Sharpe and Vickerman have both been a bit injury prone the last couple years so I'd rather have a specialist lock on the bench than a guy who splits time between 2nd row and #6.
I watched the PNC game...and i thought Drew had a shocker, along with the scrum or was it just me? He is a far better option than any player going around at the moment for 15,even though he is a winger.
the punters friend..... stick with me and you will be wearing
Why is Mark Chisholm so far down the pecking order, is he injured?
Every forwards dream is to become a back...
at least this squad is starting to represent Super 14 form. Still, needs more Tahs.
Nice Pie Chart. Did you get that from Pie Growden. Def not enough Tahs

Thanks chook... A pie pie would be freaking awesome. You could categorise all of Growden's stories for a month and plot them onto a pie pie
I agree totally with you about the ARC. I think the ARU should of stuck with it for a few years before getting rid of it.
