Now tell us something we dont know about Subi? But good to hear the Premier say that M.E.S. will be ahead of any plans that they may have for Subi and that M.E.S would be more easy to manage in the present climate.
yeah i know that bit.
i was more wondering how long the WAFC will be stuck with said lease on subi. does anyone know when the lease ends?
they dont deserve a new ground when they are contracted into subi.
if they want to piss and moan about how it's shit, we shouldnt have to listen. they wanted it, and they got it. for all intensive pourposes, it's theirs. so if they want something done with it THEY should get the money together, and then ask the govt if they are allowed to do it.
by the time their lease is up they would have made their expenses back over and over again.
well actually, the Labour Government last year resumed the lease on Subiaco OVal didn't it as part of the planning for the Multi-Purpose Stadium?
they did?
i missed that. i'll go back into my box now ok?
that only just occured to me when I typed that last post.
or perhaps it never went through, or was discarded when the New Liberal/National Government scuttled the MPS?
"The least adequate" Ya think?! Suck it up AFL!! We get lumped with a crap stadium and put up with it, now we have a chance to leave you for dust and you actually have to fund your own stuff now.
The AFL was happy to take Carpenter's proposal and not have to worry about funding a thing, we fought bloody hard to even get MES back on the agenda and now we're finally getting somewhere with Barnett and the WAFC realise not everything is going to be handed to them on a silver platter. Welcome to the real world!

that link i gave you jargs, says the lease has an unexpired term of 84 years.
however it does mention that they would be better off if the govt resumed the lease.
that link was from 06
yeah, I wasn't 100% sure if the Government had resumed the lease or not.
Maybe they should anyway and start charging the WAFC Market Value
like that would ever happen. that entire section was mainly about how a new stadium would benifit AFL and the WAFC. and as soon as it wouldnt benifit them. it was recommended that the govt take over said aspect that wasnt going to benifit them...

Interestingly, I notice that the WAFL v SAFL State Match is going to be played at Leederville, not Subiaco.

is there something else happenning at subi on the same day?
