bloody mongrels...
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
erm..........they'd actually been trying for weeks. I reckon, as sports commentators, they are a couple of lightweights who know lots about AFL, a bit about cricket, horse racing and a couple of other things they have personal interests in, but bugger all about most other sports.
The thing is that's the way of the media in this town. The ABC is not a whole lot better, either. RugbyWA and/or any other organisation that wants a profile needs to work with them.
There's a really overused cliche about any publicity and it's true. If nothing else was achieved by those two yesterday afternoon at least there might be some people who heard that the Crusaders will be in town for a game in a few weeks. Some of them might even turn up as a result. There's been little else done to promote the match.
They 6PR mob also seem to be on side with the stadium situation. They might make us a bit of mileage there, too. If supporters get on their case over the issue and start the discussion.

your're right Shasta - just very battle weary at the moment - want rugby not a "Soapie"
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
IF Karl and Brad want opinions on their radio show on Rugby in Western Australia - why don't they ask their(6PR) employed experts Mick Collis and Adrian Barrich. Both of whom are members of TWF and have always done right by us. Also there are enough TWF members who are regular callers to 6PR - they could always ask Gerry, or Shasta.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
They do, frequently. They rang Mick Collis and interviewed him first-up that day. He was just as much in the dark about events at The Force as the rest of us. Maybe a certain Fox Sports commentator who has played for The Force would be a better bet. But I'm betting he's in the Cone of Silence too. The one at RugbyWA is certainly better than the one at Control Headquarters.
Whatever the issues are, I suppose you have to admire how the whole organisation has kept things controlled as they work towards a resolution. Hopefully that says they are all committed to working through things constructively with an eye to a positive outcome.
