Matt Giteau becoming frustrated with inconsistent Force

Sad to say, but Gits has been the shining light for the Force over the last few games (since he confirmed his departure back to Canberra). He is often the one making covering back tackles and trying to rally the Force troops.

My worry is that with him going, we will become cellar-dwellers for 2-3 seasons before we gel as a real team, rather than building a team around a marquee player.

It's all just part of being a 5/8. He's good, but he isn't the be all and end all of the Force and winning rugby games. The 8 teams currently above us on the ladder show you don't need Giteau to get points...

They way i see it, when Gits leaves and we do become cellar dwellars for a while so be it... the Force are three years old now and have been improving slowly every year...Im proud of them for their achievements regardless of their recent inconsistency... cmon guys Super14 is no walk in the park it is the most intensivly fierce provincial rugby tournament in the world. Making the final four is not as easy as some of you might like to think it is... its a tough tough thing to do against 13 other teams that are trying just as hard to get there as the Force are...

Then again the team should not be put on a pedestal on matter what the result, but they need loyal support moving forward.. if everyong jumps ship just because Giteau leaves and we drop back a few rungs because of it..then it shows lack of faith and they really should be watching gAyFL instead.

I will be there in 2020 (if the super brand is still around) supporting OUR boys in Blue & black!

Gloom and doom i say GO THE FORCE Look forward to the rest of the season which we still have a say in. Not to Gits which now we do not have a say in.

It’s needless to be all gloom and doom, enjoy your 2009 team this season… worry about the future when the season is over. The Force has time to restructure and sign new talent. The boys that are there now will have another season of experience to build on for the New Year... Look at Daniel Bowden for the Highlanders an excellent young fly first year out... The Force academy must have been developing some young guys…

Who knows what the Force recruits my find out there? They must have know Gits was likely to move on for a good year now, surely they put some thought into this outcome... and approached what talent is available in the market...
