What they did in Paris for the RWC final to alleviate this problem was have a fenced off section around the ground with Beer Tents - so people rocked up early for the atmosphere and not everyone got onto the congested roads simultaneously at the end of the game.

It is a complete bummer to march for 25 mins after a game looking for a pint especially if you're not sure of the geography of the place.

Maybe we should just do the same. The State govt will get blamed for economic mismanagement regardless of what they do.

WA isn't propping up the Australian government... You pay and WA businesses pay taxes just like the rest of us...

Additionally I think you're lucky to get the number of test matches you do each year...

I don't really care too much where the play (though Bunbury would be a real stretch Gigs), as long as the infrastructure is in place to ensure people can get to and from the game easily. There are a few stadiums I have been to around Australia which I don't rate for ease in getting to and from the ground. These stadiums just happen to be the furthest away from the major transport infrastructure.

I can't comment on Homebush as I haven't been there yet.

I wonder how many people would have attended the baa baas game if it was at Homebush instead of SFS.

I'd say take that up with the WA State Government

You do realise that WA is a part of AUSTRALIA

Have you read the Constitution preamble?
We're just a little less part of it all than the rest...

"Whereas the people of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, and Tasmania, humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God, have agreed to unite in one indissoluble Federal Commonwealth under the Crown....."

French? No, we might have ended up like the Quebecois, speaking a kind of French the actual French think is awful

WA did vote at a referendum to join the Federation though

Had the French settled here who knows what would have happened. I'd be calling you surrender monkeys thats for sure

(And 32 years later we'd had enough... besides, we only signed the damn thing (late, of course ) because they threatened to take the goldfields off us, which was considered then to be a Major Bummer... anyway... Maybe we'd have more rugby and less AFL? )

Anyway, if WA had an SFS equivalent in Mandurah or Bunbury and the Wallabies V Baa-baas game was on, I certainly wouldn't complain, crappy transport options or not! (Desperate )

And the King told em to stick it

Bunbury isn't that far, just under 2 hours and Mandurah isn't that far by any length, and the train goes there now as well

Haven't they opened that new part of the Kwinana (or whatever they are going to call it) that allows you avoid Mandurah yet?
