Read the posts above. It's not just Perth. A week late on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon would be better than midnight. At least a few Rugby infidels might have a squiz. The only people watching TV replays at midnight Wednesday are most likely incurable insomniacs with clinical depression.
I can't understand Foxtel's reasoning in this. If I was running the show I'd be allowing match replays at decent times in all AFL dominated areas. It's gotta be worth a shot to try to grow the paying customer base.

I watched it last night. You're not missing much. Nothing there you can't get on youtube and no real commentary.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Not at all. My depression is actually getting much better![]()
No, I watched it because I mostly work nights so I find it hard to get to sleep any time before 1am.

I heard that the reasoning the show is on so late was that Channel nine used the Super Rugby highlights show as a way of tempting the ARU to give the rights of the World Cup to channel 9. Once the deal was done, channel 9 kept their promise but put it on at midnight in every state.
Any truth to that rumour?
Honestly, it isn't that hard to believe really. Given what the network has done to other codes.
