ARU have responded to the RUPA/VRU request and say they're willing to hold an EGM within seven days.

I am putting on a tin foil hat but all these groups were not coming out of the woodwork when it was the Force firmly in the gunsights.
Generally speaking you aren’t learning much if your lips are moving!!!
To be fair RUPA were fairly vocal at the start about keeping the 5 teams.
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
Love the fact that the RUPA statement is based around the notion that cutting a SR team will not actually deliver much in terms of financial savings, especially if they have to pay off Cox.
I came to the same conclusion after doing my analysis of the ARU's accounts. It's a bullshit argument from the ARU and I agree with RUPA that the real reason for any cull is to save face round the SANZAAR table.
The ARU's botched management of our game over the past decade or so may finally be laid bare for all to see. Fingers crossed!

More shredding going on in St Leonard's this week than at the height of Watergate you think GIGS?
