BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
Broken leg would be (marginally) better than knee.
CHEERLEADERS ROCK!!!
I reckon it was a bit of a dislocation/hyperextension. Looked pretty serious and I can't imagine that they would flex his leg at the knee if it was broken. Wait for the official report, hope its not too serious, but sadly I think he will be out for atleast 6 weeks.
Definitely no tri nations for our Cam. I am gutted - he was almost there.
According to yahoo7
a broken fibula to luckless replacement back Cameron Shepherd.Shepherd's fracture, sustained when tackled at the end of a half-break, is a heart-breaking blow to the man who was expected to be Australia's fullback for the Tri-Nations.
Its his leg and its a bugger either way, but it could have been much worse and thankfully its not his knee.
heartbreaking is the right word... thats so dissapointing for him. and the wallabies are in trouble now! gerrad is probably coming backget better soon cam

Bugger to see him sitting out the Tri-Nations by the looks of it but probably better than giving the knee another touch-up.

The rugby career of popular and potent Western Force back Cameron Shepherd has been dealt a savage blow, with a broken a leg during a cameo appearance for the Wallabies certain to keep the Test star out of rugby for several months.
Shepherd was introduced into the action with less than ten minutes to go in the 40-10 defeat of France in Brisbane, but with one of his first attacking forays was left in agony when he broke his tibula.
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
The bigger bone in your leg. More serious to break it rather than your fibula
