"Hopefully I can start enjoying it more playing finals rugby for a strong side like the Waratahs," Cross said.
He couldn't resist having a dig. Quite obvious he wasn't happy here this past season for some reason.
Not being happy is one thing, but not playing your best is unprofessional. I wish Crossy the best of luck at the Tahs. Looks like he might need it![]()
Success is not final, failure is not fatal:
it is the courage to continue that counts.

I'm a little disappointed that Ryan Cross has left the Force and gone to the tahs and to replace him with Gene Fairbanks gee!! I have watched him in a number of matches this season for Randwick and he has been hopless. His defence is bad and is offering nothing in attack and it looks like he has lost alot of pace, he seems very slow. I think it is a very poor signing.
Hopefully we can keep Shepherd or Staniforth.
Actually went and watched the rats play Norths last weekend and Shepherd's kicking was so bad, he must have kicked out on the full 3 times but he always beat the first man.
I think Stephano Hunt has left Southern Districts and gone to Norths because he couldn't make first grade there.
Yeah Stanford has signed with the Honda Heat.
I must say I dont think he has played well, or to his potential for a couple of years. Then suddenly half way through this season he really came into his own with some good forward running rugby breakling lines and even a few good passes! Then we read that he thought about moving mid season. Was that the turning point? Has he just been collecting the sheckle by turning up? I hope not!
Well good luck Crossy and I think your going to need it.
May the FORCE be with you!
He was definitely off the boil here last season...We won't miss him..!!! He won't get a drink off me next Friday, that is if he even bothers to show..!!!!
In the end this year was Crosses oppurtunity to stand up and be recognized as a senior leader in the backs and a legitimate world class player by climbing out from the shadows of giteau or mitchell etc. In the end if he feels he needs to "surround" himself with "better players" to be noticed, well then it pretty much shows his true worth and that he aint a good a player as he seems to think he is.
James OC represents the spirit I like to see in our players in the face of adversity..........and as a result unlike cross, JOC flourished under pressure and high expectations.....proved to everyone he is the real deal.
Goodluck at the tahs ryan cross.
